OUR SCHOOL - Our School

KoroBoro International School is a not-for-profit, independent, co-educational day school.

KoroBoro International School is a dynamic school, with high levels of student, staff and parent engagement. We are committed to providing an exemplary education experience for all students. We strive to uphold a leaning environment that is challenging, safe, caring, supportive and inclusive.

The school maintains high academic standards, encourage all students to work to the best of their ability, and work in close partnership with parents. Our aim is to offer our learners, a truly international curriculum that will provide a broad foundation for their future education, whether it be in PNG or any other country.

KoroBoro International School is comprised of both the Boroko East Campus (Boro) and the Korobosea Campus (Koro). Together we educate over around 1250 students from Early Learning through to Grade 6.

The Boro campus educates students from Early Learning – Grade 2, while the Grade 3-6 students are educated at Koro campus.

Across both campuses we are united in focusing our core purpose of supporting student well-being and learning. KoroBoro International School is part of the International Education Agency (IEA) of PNG and as such is committed to connecting learners and providing lifelong learning experiences within caring environments.

Our approach is child-centred. This means that teachers plan a curriculum that is relevant and meaningful to the students' own lives and interests and provides them with the opportunity to take responsibility for their own learning.
We believe students learn by `doing' - that is by actively investigating, inquiring, taking part in practical work, learning by experimentation and discovery, being constantly challenged to think productively and creatively. We endeavour to ensure students enjoy learning and can positively evaluate their own talents and skills while learning to become socially and personally confident and secure.

As a school we provide a secure and caring atmosphere in which the students can feel safe. We provide a focus and support for our community of parents. As a staff, both teaching and non-teaching staff, we work together as a collaborative team.
Whilst the School remains separate geographically, we are all part of one large community, which provides exciting opportunities for both students and staff and for making new friends.
